Speaking of taking advantage. The ghetto dwellers are pretty infamous for getting a student loan, blowing the money, and never setting foot in a classroom.

Thanks to the government-backing of student-loans (culminating last year with the Federal Government becoming OFFICIALLY the sole legal source of such loans), the costs of tuition were going up for years. The colleges know, they can raise their prices with impunity — people will just borrow more… This year’s jump is among the highest on record, BTW: http://www.cnbc.com/id/45040668
If one wants higher education, one MUST now apply for a government loan — and all the strings, that come attached to it (such as registering with Selective Service, etc.) This gives the Federal Government even more control over the students and the colleges — a not so secret dream of the Big Government Illiberals.
